A new report by Earth Security provides advice to financial institutions on how to direct capital to integrated landscape management (ILM).
The study by Earth Security addresses the major capital barrier to supporting ILM at scale. It lays out a roadmap for how collaboration between public and private capital investors can address these barriers, and a series of proposals for sequencing and directing land-related investments to create more sustainable and resilience landscapes.
The study, Financing Strategies for Integrated Landscape Investment, was released on April 30th at an event at Landscapes for People, Food and Nature Initiative co-organiser World Resources Institute in Washington, DC.
Earth Security's Margot Hill Clarvis, lead author of the Analysis of Financial Institutions and Mechanisms section of the report presented the range of innovations, collaboration models and challenges for public and private sector financial institutions to finance ILM at scale.
