Our story

A decade shaping the frontier of resilience investment

Since 2011, Earth Security has pioneered the integration of planetary resilience into the architecture of global finance. From the outset, our mission has been clear: to show that Earth-system risks and tipping points are not only threats to be managed, but the foundation of a new class of economic and investment opportunities.

Over the past decade, we’ve partnered with investors, companies, and policymakers to turn that paradigm into action: channelling capital toward nature-based infrastructure, resilient food and water systems, and circular economies — strengthening the preparedness of societies in a world moving toward 2–4 °C.

Today, Earth Security continues to lead this transformation — guiding private, public, and philanthropic capital to build the societal resilience that underpins long-term prosperity. Our work is helping shape a new investment paradigm where value creation is inseparable from planetary resilience.

Alejandro Litovsky

Founder & CEO

Alejandro Litovsky founded Earth Security in 2011 with a prescient vision, in a world moving towards climate tipping pints, to make resilience a defining frontier of investment value. Over more than a decade, he has advised global corporations, investors, and international organisations on strategies that connect capital with planetary resilience outcomes.

A recognised thought leader in sustainable finance, Alejandro works at the intersection of private capital, public finance, and philanthropy. He has pioneered frameworks for nature-based investment and catalysed multi-million-dollar resilience-financing partnerships across sectors — from coastal protection and food systems to water security.

His leadership has been recognised globally — named a UBS Global Visionary (2022) and recipient of the BMW Foundation Global Leadership Award (2012), as well as the London School of Economics Hobhouse Memorial Prize (2004).

His work continues to shape how markets, policymakers, and institutions understand the economics of a resilient planet.
